I am a recent masters in architecture student graduating from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen, Scotland. Attending Oban High School on the West coast I grasped a keen interest in graphic communication and design, which inspired me go on to university to study architecture.

I am particularly interested in the way in which humans interact with architecture, and the way in which designers are able to influence and stimulate emotions for the user. I have a strong interest in sustainable design and I have the desire to help transition the construction industry to contribute towards a circular economy. I understand the opportunities within design that can use elegant recycled materials to create impactful and successful architecture.

Throughout my time at university I was invited to attend and present my work at the 'Big Crit' 2016. This involved me presenting my stage two project 'AYES', which was to design a local development centre in Aberdeen. The Big Crit involved presenting my project to a panel of three established and respected architects within the industry. My project also went on to feature in the '5710 society' 2015/16 yearbook. In Stage three, my project was nominated for the Rob Hunter prize. This involved presenting my first semester project of the adaptive reuse of Grays School of Art to a visiting panel of judges. Also within stage three, I was invited to present my second semester project at the 'Big Crit' 2017 for the second year running. This involved me presenting my project called 'A New Gateway', which was a housing project within the city of Aberdeen, this project also went on to feature in the '5710 society' 2016/17 yearbook.

I gained an extremely valuable years experience with Comprehensive Design Architects in Edinburgh. I benefited greatly from the office environment and was fortunate to be involved in a variety of projects of varying scales and functions where I was able to express my design ideas and technical knowledge within the clients brief. I built up a broad skill range on site visits, team meetings and internal design meetings and was able to understand the importance of the interaction between ; the client, the architect, and the project team.

Outwith architecture I am a keen sportsperson, in particular football, where I competed at Pro Youth level for 5 years and continue to play. I enjoy to travel and explore different urban environments and cultures across the world which helps to inspire my creative mindset.
