Stage 6, Thesis Project Conclusion
Aberdeen Waterfront Masterplan Visualisations
The conclusion to my thesis project involved working within a group of 4 to work on proposal for the redevelopment of the Aberdeen Beachfront. The original group outcomes of the Aberdeen Waterfront masterplan project were a response to competing issues on the site, with the proposal of a valid and supportable design solution. The groups conclusions had a balance between design objectives and objectives in the architectural output of the project.
The thesis development explored the masterplan visually with a particular focus on the sense of place and experience. The outcome of the project looks to visually conclude the contextual impact of the masterplan and how this contributes to the overall identity of the city and the experiences for the people.
Working in a group of 4, the conclusion to my thesis project involved working on a proposal to redevlop the City of Aberdeen's beachfront to help restore a sense of pride in the North East of Scotland.
My main role in the outcome of the masterplan was to create a series of experiential visuals that explore the sense of place and experience throughout the design.
